Shanghai English Corner is a not-for-profit English speaking club, a place for people in Shanghai to meet up, exchange ideas, share knowledge and have fun together. Anyone older than 18 and capable of communicating in English is welcome to participate.
Each meeting includes a prepared speech, topic discussion, games and free talk. This is a good place for you to make a few more friends and at the same time refine your English speaking skills.
We are now accepting club membership applications, but only the committed participants are eligible to apply. We have formed a Managing Committee to oversee the club and plan for its future. If you have the passion and want to make a difference in a meaningful way, our Managing Committee has a seat for you.
Members are asked to observe our Chinese traditional teaching "日行一善" and thus be willing to practice it and perform at least a good deed every day.
If you are already a member or have attended our meetings, we strongly encourage your suggestions on how to improve our meetings so that we can have a wonderful place to spend our weekends. All feedback and contributions are valued. As we are just starting, it would be helpful if you bring your friends along and help expand our pool of talent.
No entrance fee for meetings at ELS-AEC.
